Helen qualified as a dental hygienist from Leeds Dental Hospital in 1989. She has a vast and varied experience working in both NHS and private dental practices. Helen has had the opportunity to work at Unilever Research for six years in a research role and as a professional liaison. Through these roles Helen has had the opportunity to travel worldwide. She was also an expert member on an Independent ethics committee for six years (CIREC).

Helen prides herself by regularly attending courses to keep up to date with the latest dental developments. She was awarded “Test Drive Hero” under the dental hygiene Programme for Oral B in June 2018 for the Northwest. Helen is well versed in providing teeth whitening, airflow for stain removal and guided bio film treatment (GBT) and using perioflow for implant care and management.

Helen gains great satisfaction from providing patients with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to maintain their oral health. She has a particular interest in non-surgical periodontal treatment. In her opinion dentistry can only be successful with excellent home care.

Out of work, she keeps herself busy with her lovely daughter and enjoys running and keeping fit. Helen has successfully completed five marathons to date and aims to do more.
